Iranian authorities sentenced teacher Zara Mohammadi to 10 years in prison and reduced her to five years for teaching Kurdish to children in the Kurdish city of Sineh in Kurdistan.

Last year, Iranian authorities arrested Kurdish language volunteer teacher “Zara Mohammadi” for several days and released her on bail.

The “Revolution” court in the city of “Sunah” sentenced the Kurdish teacher to 10 years, and the sentence was halved after the appeal.

“Every time the Iranian government imposes various charges on Zara, it has once been accused of being opposed to the Islamic Republic and again in favour of the Socialist Party in the past few days,” the teacher’s brother, Hept Mohammadi, told” Roj news” on Monday.

“”Zara” has been officially informed that the five-year prison sentence has been transferred from iran’s Supreme Court to the Court of His Age, and she must surrender within 10 days,” he said.

“Mohammadi” said that although many members of the Judicial Council have not signed the ruling, the Iranian regime insists on implementing the ruling.
