A sharp decline in the Turkish lira against the US dollar

Yesterday, the Turkish lira recorded a sharp decline following the sudden decision to dismiss the governor of the Central Bank, “Naji Iqbal”.

The Turkish lira’s exchange rate decreased by 10.79 in the first trading after the decision of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to replace the head of the country’s central bank.

According to “Bloomberg” News, the exchange rate of the lira reached 8,3974 against one US dollar at 7:53 am this morning, the lowest rate since last November.

And today, Monday, the Istanbul Stock Exchange suspended a decision to suspend trading on the Istanbul Stock Exchange, after a sharp collapse of the Turkish lira.
