Floods sweep new South Wales in Australia

Australian authorities have evacuated about 18,000 people from the south-eastern state of New South Wales due to flooding and continued rainfall.

State Premier “Gladys Berejiklian” said an estimated 18,000 people had left their homes in NSW due to flooding caused by heavy rains.

The heavy rains will continue and urged local residents to exercise caution,” Yiriglian” said.

Thirty-eight areas have been declared “disaster zones”, and authorities plan to provide financial assistance to residents of these areas, estimated at $800 per adult and $300 per child.

Earlier, local media reported that New South Wales had opened evacuation Centres due to continued heavy rainfall since Last Friday.
