Iran announced that the United States, Britain and France had supplied chemical weapons by the former Iraqi President “Saddam Hussein” during the Iran-Iraq war in 1980.
Iran, through the military advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Iranian Revolution, “Sayyid Yahya Rahim Safawi” in a press statement on Tuesday, said that “international organizations failed to play their expected role in preventing the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq war, which he considered to have been imposed on his country.”
“”Saddam” had carried out hundreds of chemical weapons to attacks on cities and residential neighborhoods, the most important of which were those carried out on “Sardasht”, “Abadan” and” Khorramshahr”, as well as the massacre of Halabja residents in Iraq,” Safwii said.

Let the Americans and Europeans know this fact and that Iran has become stronger following political and economic pressures and will defend its rights,” he said.
France, Germany and Britain, in a tripartite statement yesterday, considered Iran’s suspension of the additional protocol to the safeguards agreement with the IAEA as a new violation of the nuclear deal.
It is worth mentioning that, Iran had taken such a decision to repeal the additional protocol about the nuclear agreement and reactor inspections in response to the previous U.S. withdrawal from the agreement.
