Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that his country is determined to reach the centenary of the founding of the Turkish Republic in 2023, with greater economic, military, political and diplomatic strength.

This came in a post after his visit to the grave of the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, on the occasion of what the Turks call “Victory Day,” which Turkey celebrates on August 30 of each year.

Although Turkey is witnessing a deterioration in its economy and is living in the absence of friends by its side, Erdogan claimed that the important successes achieved by Turkey in various sectors are the biggest evidence of its determination to preserve its rights and interests.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan saw his presence in Libya, his forces ’occupation of Syrian lands, and his violation of the maritime borders of Greece an achievement in addition to the Turkish state’s achievements:“ The decisive achievements we have achieved in various fields from Syria to Libya, and from the Black Sea to the eastern Mediterranean, and from Energy to fight terrorism is the clearest indication of our will to protect the rights and interests of our country. ”

Erdogan renewed his threats to continue what Turkey has done so far in the eastern Mediterranean: “Turkey in the eastern Mediterranean in particular will not give in to the language of threats, intimidation and blackmail and will continue to defend its rights arising from international law and bilateral agreements.”
