Special: The differences that beset the Syrian negotiating body and each country want to impose their personalities, so where are the Kurds in of this?

Brusk Hassen –

The meeting of the Syrian Negotiating Commission started on 06/13/2020 to discuss its agenda, which includes the elections for the presidency of the commission, but without reaching a result until the moment, amid disputes that beset their meetings that the regional countries are trying to impose their personalities on the negotiating body and the opposition together.

After Turkey fully assumed control of the negotiating body and the election of loyal parties earlier, Saudi Arabia returned to the forefront to restore to itself the position it lost as a result of Turkey’s imposing its agenda on all the lifelines of the opposition and its negotiating and dialogue paths with the regime.

The Turkish presence and its agenda were prominent in all opposition meetings in Geneva and elsewhere, and Saudi Arabia would almost remain outside the Syrian conflict had it not been for its preparation for some of its influence now.

The Syrian negotiating body is now witnessing differences to create a new lineup for it, and witnessing multifaceted differences between its heterogeneous components, whether in terms of political orientation or in terms of loyalty to certain regional countries.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is trying to play its role that it lost recently, and supports the election of eight names within the body of the body as independents, with the aim of replacing them with independent members within the body of the body, through an incomplete quorum meeting last December that the Kingdom was calling for.

Nasr Hariri, who has become working for the Turkish agenda, criticized the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s support for these eight people, although most of the other figures within the negotiating body are loyal to Turkey and work for Turkish agendas, and Saudi Arabia’s support for the names of eight independent people is nothing but to reduce Turkish influence within the body of the body, and that the commission witness a balance It is not controlled by Turkey alone.

Turkey, for its part, has moved the pro-government figures and the will to appoint pro-government figures to lead to a conflict that ravages the meeting, and even divisions within the body of the already fragmented body, as it brings different political currents with attitudes and visions towards the fate of the Syrian regime. The Riyadh Conference 2, which was held in late 2017, marked a turning point in the substance of the authority. On that day, people who did not accept a political solution in which Bashar al-Assad was a party were excluded. And the introduction of personalities who accept “political realism”, in the words of the Saudi foreign minister at the time, Adel Al-Jubeir, who sponsored this transformation, and Saudi Arabia supports a political solution contrary to what Turkey supports, which wants to preserve the chaos in Syria, And in order to pass its agenda and prolong its presence in the Syrian geography, which turned into a state of occupation after its introduction of thousands of troops and military vehicles.

The Syrian opposition believes that Moscow was able to introduce personalities, currents and parties that have nothing to do with the opposition or the Syrian revolution, but rather adopts the Russian vision for a solution in Syria, which is the “Moscow platform”, in addition to the Cairo platform. This matter caused a great difference in the visions within the body of the commission and made its agreement to any decisions a very difficult matter, even though these parties have rejected the military solution and the militarization of the Syrian revolution from the beginning, while the Turkish side represented by the Brotherhood and who control the joints of the opposition wanted to militarize the revolution in favor of Turkish agendas.

The return of the prominent Saudi player bothered Turkey, which prompted the latter to nominate new alternative characters, including even a Kurd, to strike the Saudi attempt to remove the negotiating body from Turkey’s control and control of all its decisions, amid the rejection by the Brotherhood members who constitute the majority in the body, and the committee may witness divisions and blocs. Inconsistent pools. Turkey, which has the upper hand in the path of the Syrian opposition, is divided and its decisions are not retracted from controlling the opposition’s joints and its decisions militarily and negotiating.
