The Libyan army repels an attack by al-Wefaq forces, south of the capital

The Libyan army announced, today, Saturday, that it has responded to an attack by the Al-Wefaq forces led by the Turkish forces, in the Al-Towisha axis, south of the capital, Tripoli.

The Center for “Dignity Operations” added that the human losses from the Al-Wefaq forces amounted to 18 dead, in addition to the fall of some of the wounded, including the commanding brigade of intrusion called “drowsiness”, and a secret commander in Al-Mahjoub brigade called “Al-Masalati”, and a number of mercenaries that Turkey sent to Libya.

On the other hand, the Military Information Division, affiliated with the Libyan National Army, said that the air defense platforms of the armed forces targeted a Turkish plane , and shot it down near the Qaryat area, south of the capital, Tripoli.

According to several military experts, Turkish weapons made the difference in Libya for the benefit of the reconciliation government forces.

The most prominent of these weapons are the drones, which Al-Wefaq was supplied with for long periods, but it has witnessed a number of failures until recently.

Turkey gave Al-Wefaq forces dozens of its famous armored “Kirby”, and was used in the confrontations.

Also among the Turkish weapons in Libya are laser-guided “Umtas” missiles, which are anti-armor and suitable for direct combat.

It is worth noting that the Military Information Division of the Libyan National Army announced last Thursday evening that it had shot down a Turkish plane, which was marching in the sky of the city of Tarhuna, which was trying to target civilians.
