Afghanistan: Security forces kill two militants in the south of the country

Selava Omar –

Afghan security confirmed today, Sunday, the killing of two gunmen who threw hand grenades on a security watch tower in the southern province of Kandahar.

The Kandahar police chief, “Tadin Khan Ashakzai,” said that the militants threw hand grenades on a security watchtower in the tenth district of Kandahar city, and that the security forces responded and killed them.

The Afghan police announced, last Wednesday, that the security forces carried out a large-scale attack against the militants, killing ten Taliban militants and wounding six others in Helmand province in southern Afghanistan.

It is worth noting that, on Friday, May 8th, the Taliban killed a police chief and two others in a roadside bomb attack in Khost province in Afghanistan.
