6 people were killed in a Bolivian military plane crash

The Bolivian Air Force said that a light military plane crashed yesterday, Saturday, killing its two-person crew and four Spaniards, who were transporting them before they were sent back to their country, amid an outbreak of the Corona virus.

The statement said that the accident took place near the city of “Trinidad” in the southeast of the country, where passengers were taken to “Santa Cruz”, and Bolivia closed its borders to contain the spread of the epidemic.

Initial investigations indicate that the aircraft reported its intention to return to the airport in “Trinidad” 12 minutes after take off due to engine failure, and then the connection to the aircraft was lost.
