Turkey is setting up its largest military base in the Syrian “Tel Abyad” and establishing new plans

Selava Omar –

Sources reported that the Turkish occupation has established more military bases on Syrian soil, as Turkish forces began building a military base on the Tel Abyad road in the countryside of Raqqa.

The sources pointed out that Turkey is bringing fighters from different factions in Idlib to its military sites, with the aim of establishing an army that includes the factions of what is known as the “Syrian National Army” and “National Liberation Front”, after it had failed before many attempts to unify the factions, whether in groups, or In joint operations rooms, the most prominent of them was the “Army of Conquest”, which controlled Idlib, and which consisted mainly of the “Jabhat al-Nusra” and “Ahrar al-Sham” before they differed later.

And that the Turkish plan aims to take advantage of Turkey’s situation on the ground in Idlib at present, to prolong the survival of the opposition and benefit from it, as it does not plan to withdraw from Idlib in which dozens of military observation points have been established, or from other border areas with a depth of 40 km, and therefore It is working to control the entire region in cooperation with a unified army of factions.

It is worth noting that, yesterday, Turkish forces established a new military point in the village of “Sams” in Jabal Al-Zawiya in the southern countryside of Idlib, bringing the number of Turkish points in the “de-escalation” area that includes parts of Idlib, Aleppo, Hama and Lattakia to 59 points.

Turkey occupied the cities of Ras Al-Ain and Tel Abyad on 10/09/2019 in a broad military operation with the participation of hundreds of Syrian factions of the Syrian opposition coalition, of which the Kurdish National Council is an essential part.
