Putin thanks Iran for its efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed thanks for the efforts of the Iranian Republic to resolve the Syrian crisis.
“We are working closely to resolve the Syrian crisis with Iran, but not all problems have been resolved,” Putin said.
Putin’s speech came at a time when Turkey, Russia and Iran are holding a fourth trilateral summit in Sochi to resolve the Syrian crisis.
Putin noted that the continued cooperation between Russia and Iran has increased in recent times, adding, we thank Iran for the contribution of the Syrian crisis. We work closely together to resolve the Syrian crisis, but not all problems have been resolved.
Putin said nuclear projects with Iran were continuing to develop, saying: “I hope that our meeting today will improve our bilateral relations.”
Putin expressed his condolences for the suicide attack on Iran, where at least 27 soldiers were killed.
