URGENT: US says Bolton talks with Turks were fruitful and Erdogan is attacking his statements in Israel
White House national security adviser John Bolton on Tuesday held a meeting with a Turkish delegation led by Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Qalin.
The meeting was held at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, Away from the lenses of journalists, and lasted for two hoursand 10 minutes.
The Turkish delegation, along with Qalin, included Assistant Foreign Minister Sadat Onal , Assistant Minister of Defense Younis Imrh Oglu, The deputy head of intelligence Jamaluddin Jlick and other officials.
In return, Bolton’s delegation included US Army Chief of Staff Joseph Donford and James Jeffrey, who holds the position of special envoy to Syria And the US special envoy to the international coalition to fight the terrorist “organization”.

The United States said in a statement on the meeting that took place between the US and Turkish delegation:”The meeting between Qalin and Bolton was fruitful for the withdrawal from Syria.”
While Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan launched an attack on Bolton’s remarks in Israel: “Bolton made a mistake and can not accept his statements about Syria made in Israel”
Erdogan said Turkey could not be negligent about Kurdish militants in Syria, according to his words.
This is while US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Earlier he had said Erdogan had promised Trump that he would “protect” Kurdish fighters in Syria.
Erdogan said the United States was still procrastinating in the Syrian Manbeg case.
