After shaking its image Washington announces not to withdraw from Syria without ensuring the protection of the Kurds
The US administration’s intensive statements accelerated after US President Donald Trump’s decision, Which shook the image of America and led to denunciations and questions from many allies about leaving America alone in Syria to fight terrorism.
These statements the US administration tried to reassure the Kurdish side first, And send messages to allies, while retaining the Turkish ally in an attempt to find a compromise formula among all.
In this context, US national security adviser John Bolton said Sunday that US President Donald Trump “does not want to withdraw from Syria without an agreement with Turkey to ensure the protection of the Kurds.”
Bolton said in remarks quoted by the Associated Press “We do not want Turkey to take any military action in Syria only after full coordination with Washington,” he said, “We will discuss withdrawal from Syria with Israel and Turkey in a regional tour.”
Bolton pointed to a Turkish pledge to ensure the security and safety of the Kurds by saying that “President Trump does not want to withdraw from Syria without an agreement with Turkey to ensure the protection of Kurdish forces and to defeat the remaining of the Da’ash, Pointing out that no timetable has been set for the withdrawal of his troops from Syria.
This is a complete change in what Trump said on 19/12/2018, the decision to withdraw the troops of his country as soon as possible from Syria.
