51 Syrian Palestinians killed on their way to Europe
The Working Group for “Syrian Palestinians” documented the sinking of 51 Palestinian refugees from Syria, who died during their attempts to reach European countries to escape the war.
The group explained in a report released by the evening on Friday, the majority of the victims were women, children and the elderly, some of them on the Libyan shores, while trying to reach Italy, and others in the “Marmara Sea”, while trying to reach Greece.
The report added that immigrants is facing great difficulties in reaching Turkey, Libya and Egypt as starting points.
He also pointed out that more than 85,000 Syrian Palestinians have arrived in Europe since the beginning of the crisis in Syria in March 2011.
the group had documented the deaths of 3,384 Palestinian refugees in Syria over the past seven years, about half of them from “Yarmouk refugee camp” in rural Damascus.
