UN report issued more than 200 mass graves of victims of the organization “Daash” in Iraq

BAGHDAD (Reuters) – More than 200 mass graves have been found in Iraq in areas previously controlled by the Da’ash organization, according to a new UN report released Tuesday (October 6th).

The report said the dead, including women, children, the elderly and the disabled, as well as members of the Iraqi armed forces and police who are believed to be the victims of the militant organization that controlled between June and December 2014 on large areas of northern Iraq.

In 2017, Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi announced the control of his forces over all the areas occupied by the organization several years ago, after fierce battles with the organization, and lasted for forty-three months, but so far the city is witnessing several bombings and the organization takes responsibility for them.
