URGENT Turkey announces bombing of international coalition areas in east of Euphrates amid total silence of US forces
The Turkish military chief of staff announced that it had bombed the Zour Maghar area of Kobany, which is the area of influence of the international coalition and its allies, the Syrian Democratic Forces.
The Turkish army said in a statement on Sunday that its artillery shelled the areas of the People’s Protection Units in Zawar Maghar, west of the Kubani area , east of the Euphrates in the northern Syrian city of Roj Ava, on the Turkish border, according to the statement itself.
The statement claimed that the bombing comes to prevent the activities of “terrorist organizations” and to destroy their trenches, in reference to the forces of the People’s Protection Units and their positions in the region.
This is the first time that Turkey has announced targeting the sites of the People’s Protection Units and the East Euphrates area, “the areas of influence of the International Alliance” directly, despite the previously targeted dozens of times.
