SDF: our forces liberated 16 points on al-Baghouz Fawqani, Sousse axes

The Syrian Democratic Forces’ Media center noted that their forces have liberated around 16 points where Daesh was stationed in the al-Baghouz Fawqani and Sousse, advancing on Sousse axis 2 km.

he Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) revealed the outcome of the military operations for today during the “Battle to defeat terrorism.”

The statement included:

1. Al-Baghouz Fawqani: The intermittent clashes between our forces and Daesh mercenaries continued in the vicinity of the village, accompanied by heavy artillery shelling by mercenaries targeting our fighters movements.

The field command confirmed that seven mercenaries were killed, while 3 of our fighters were wounded in various clashes in the morning yesterday.

Yesterday evening, until the early morning of this day, violent clashes broke out and our forces achieved remarkable progress. Our forces took control of mercenaries’ seven points. In these clashes, two mercenaries were killed and two of our fighters were martyred. A landmine exploded in one of our bulldozers and damaged it.

2-Sousse axis: In this axis, mercenaries rely on the intensity of landmines, a challenge that we fear to cause civilian casualties. In the hours of yesterday evening and this morning, our forces advanced by two kilometers and liberated nine mercenary positions. Six of our fighters and a Hummer military vehicle and a bulldozer were severely damaged by mines.

3-Semi -final outcome of the day: Sixteen terrorists were killed at different points of clash, while six of our fighters were wounded and two of them were martyred .

Some mines planted by mercenaries were exploded, while Military Engineering Teams dealt with Seventeen mines in various battlefields and progress.

The International Alliance aircraft carried out eighteen attacks Targeting mercenary movements.
