Turkish authorities arrest Kurdish journalist
Turkish authorities arrested Ismail Gobban, Editor-in-chief of the former Azadiya Welat newspaper, on charges of belonging to an illegal organization in Turkey.
Gobban ,in Mersin State, was arrested after the prosecution filed a case against him and the authorities deported him to Amad state 10 days ago.
After hearing his statements in the prosecution, he was transferred to the court, which charged him with belonging to an illegal organization in Turkey and promoting him.
The court issued a prison sentence in which Gobban was sent to the D prison in the state of Amad.
